WE PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION ORGANISE A NATIONAL AUDIT IN ENDOCRINE SURGERY AND PROVIDE TRAVEL GRANTS FOR TRAINEES TO IMPROVE THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ABROAD. WE ALSO REPRESENT ENDOCRINE SURGERY AS A SUB-SPECIALITY ORGANISING THE TRAINING CURRICULUM AND REQUIREMENTS OF CONSULTANT TRAINERS

The Charity's objectives are to advance education in the field of physiotherapy for the benefit of the public by: The provision of education and training in physiotherapy to the public at large and in particular, to physiotherapy patients. To persons providing care to any person in need of physiotherapy. The promotion of research and dissemination to the public at large of the results of research

The Abbey Road Centre (Canolfan Abbey Road) is a community resource centre providing support, information and resources to promote better mental health. Support may be accessed via befriending and counselling, workshops and training, activities and complimentary therapies. We host other relevant organisations who deliver their services on site.

The charity, raises funds to be used for various good causes, including for the blind, elderly, sick and underprivileged people.It has helped various medical centres and educational bodies and run a Food for Life Programme as well as a cow protection scheme. Overall, apart from the above, over 85 Eye camps were carried out during the year and 4 Ambulances were donated during the year.

We gather the opinions and views of people with sight loss through groups and consultation. We put their voice at the centre of what we do, reporting their views to the people who are responsible for the services that help them. We signpost people to these services.

THE CHARITY PROVIDES INFORMATION AND SUPPORT TO PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM FIBROMYALGIA IN THE UK. IT ALSO RAISES AWARENESS OF THE CONDITION AMONGST MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AND PROMOTES RESEARCH.

Information & advice on issues relevant to the older person. Alternative therapies, exercise & relaxation, coffee clubs, computer usage & training, outreach work. Deliver library books to elderly, isolated clients. Take elderly patients home from hospital and leave them in a safe environment.

Provision of grants for the relief of poor persons who are experiencing/have experienced mental health problems who are resident in Leicester and the counties of Leicestershire and Rutland. Grants are made for the benefit of qualifying recipients within the National Health Service and within the private and voluntary sectors. Grants are not made for costs that should be met from public funds.
