Provides accommodation for seafaring families over 60 years of age.

The provision of sheltered accommodation for female pensioners, the payment of pensions and the payment of grants to the Ministers of certain nominated nonconformist chapels.Additionally through designated funds the payment of educational grants and grants to specified disadvantaged people all within Sheffield.

The advancement of the education of young people under the age of 25 by the provision of maintenance and support of Colston's Collegiate School and Colston's Girls' School (Academy),the support of educational activities anywhere in the area of benefit and the provision of bursaries, scholarships,grants or other payments to young people in need of financial assistance to pursue their education.

Activities to relieve suffering, distress & poverty via ourselves & other outlets. Help to RBC Ministries/Gt. Nth. Air Ambulance/Unicef/Barnabus Fund & Various other Charities plus Disaster requests.Human resources & Church space (disability ok!) available to community for advocacy, advice & leisure. Church Services:- general, weekly Am; 1st Pm monthly at nearby sheltered housing complex.

The charity supports scientific research and education in ophthalmological medicine, principally by arranging an annual residential symposium and supporting university and hospital staff and funding instrument and other costs for research.

Therapies include Physiotherapy, Exercise, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Counselling, Massage, Yoga and Dietary advice.

THE PROVISION OF ONE BEDROOMED BUNGALOWS TO PERSONS OF GOOD CHARACTER AND LIMITED MEANS WITH PRIORITY GIVEN TO THOSE RESIDING WITHIN THE FORMER COUNTY BOROUGH OF DONCASTER. REFERENCES ARE REQUIRED AND OCCUPANCY GRANTED AFTER INTERVIEW TO DETERMINE NEED AND COMPATIBILITY WITH EXISTING OCCUPANCY PROFILE. PAYMENT OF PENSION NOT EXCEEDING -12.00 EVERY 28 DAYS TO THE NEEDY POOR.

Families in Care provides independent Support, Advocacy, Counselling and Mindfulness for birth families involved in Child Protection and Care Proceedings.

The League of Friends helps to support the Newport Cottage Care Centre, Upper Bar, Newport. Shropshire - also finance the xray unit at the care centre with the proceeds of a charity shop in Baddeley Court, Newport.

Provision of Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment for a wide variety of conditions including multiple sclerosis, cerebal palsy, autism, strokes and sports injuries.

Accommodation and Housing

The purpose of the trust is to relieve cases of need amongst persons resident in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea or the adjacent area, who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm, by providing or paying for items which could relieve suffering or assist their recovery, but are not otherwise available to them.

The objective of the charity is to provide a safe, drug and alcohol free recreational facility for the young people of Berkhamsted and the surrounding area. The charity runs the Swan Youth Centre, the facilities of which include a large room in which events can be held, pool table, audio equipment, TV, games console, and bar selling soft drinks and snacks. Vision StatementTo spread and advance the playing of chess among blind and partially sighted people throughout the United Kingdom by organising tournaments and providing coaching and reference material. Also we provide, at subsidised cost, tactile chess sets and talking digital chess clocks.

The Charity's main activities include the following:1. Advancing the science and art of nursing;2. Advancing the better education and training of student nurses training for a statutory nursing qualification and the further education and training of Registered Nurses;and3. Promoting research and investigation into matters relating to nursing.

We provide 14 self-contained flats for self-caring residents over the age of 60 years and ideally with some local connection to the village of Aylesford, Kent. Three of the flats have larger bedrooms and can accommodate couples. There is a common room and adjacent small kitchen but no other communal facilities are provided. There are some local shops and services and some bus links to Maidstone

The charity responds to appeals from various aid organisations who operate in this country and worldwide. It also funds outings for residents in care homes and nursing homes as well as assisting to finance the shortfall in the finances of these organisations.

The Society offers various services across the Shrewsbury Diocese these include: Community Action Support, Family Groups, School Social work, Home Visiting Service, School Counselling, Parenting programmes We also offer delivery of courses and training focused on children, family and community were children are bereaved or grieving.

The Charity is responsible for running an almshouse for 12 single women in York who are over 50 and in emotional, physical or financial distress
