Helps sick children, disabled people and hospices in the Lewes area

Thomas Wolsey School caters for children with physical and/or sensory needs. Many pupils also have complex medical and learning needs. The Friends of Thomas Wolsey School fund-raise for large projects and to buy equipment to enhance the children's learning both in the classroom and outside. The Friends group also maintains the mini bus, funds the Christmas Party and the Leavers' Gifts every year.

To provide a weekly talking newspaper, containing local news and other useful information including local and national government bulletins on social matters; community safety; environment; transport and leisure. The newspaper is distributed on USB memory sticks and uploaded onto the BWBF streamed service for accessing through the Talking Newspaper app and on smart speakers such as Alexa.

Providing networking/support/social events for hearing impaired children and their children in the South Staffordshire region. Providing equipment to support children with their learning and engagement with the wider society. Supporting the local education Support Service for hearing impaired pupils who provide parent and pupil support events.

Our aim is to enhance the quality of life for Broadwoodkelly residents and surrounding neighbourhoods by encouraging social interaction and promoting better physical/mental health and well-being through educational, recreational and leisure activities to reduce rural social isolation and the impact of the cost-of-living crisis for all, especially those with limited income and of pensionable age.

THE COMFORT AND WELFARE OF THE PATIENTS AND STAFF OF NEWTON COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

Provide transport to & from health centre/hospital/dentist for referred patients. Collect & deliver prescriptions for housebound patients. Visit lonely or isolated patients. Prepare details for CRB. Sitting with someone to give carer a break. Monthly meeting for carers plus day to day support and three outings plus 1 dinner per annum. Raising funds to provide extra facilities at centre to benefit

Provides assistance to King's College Hospital Nurses and Midwives wherever they may be in the world, and whether members of the King's College Hospital Nurses League or not.

To assist blind people and train young blind people to enable them to learn and enable living/ earning sources look after old blind people.

To raise money and distribute to various other charities

The fund exists to help to provide communication devices and services for those who are registered blind or visually impaired and are on low income, enabling many blind and visually impaired people to live independently.

Maintenance of the 4 almshouses in Market Rasen.

To provide support to Local Hospital in the form of financial assistance in purchasing various items of equipment which in turn will ensure a better quality of life is provided to all patients. The main form of support is the provision of Beds and medical Instruments etc..

Financial assistance for the less well off in Lynchmere, Hammer and Camelsdale as well as providing grants to organisations located in that area where such organisations are perceived to be providing a service or help to the community.

The provision of almshouse accommodation

For people in need who dwell in the parish of Burnham, referred to us by Social Services. Citizens Advice Bureau, Burnham Health Centre, Schools, etc. We provide furniture, white goods, school uniforms, school trip funding, carer's holidays etc. We support the Burnham Lighthouse Project and Thames Hospice Care. We distribute about 300 christmas parcels at about £20 each.

To relieve poverty, sickness and distress in South Wetern Tanzania in particular by the provision of medical supplies for St Anne's Hospital, Liuli and by supporting other charitable projects undertaken by the said hospital.

Fund raising included Skittles night, Bingo night, Raffles, Open Garden, Coffee Mornings, Bag Packing at local Supermarkets, Shop and Local table top sales and the Hospital Tea Trolley.

Supporting children undergoing heart surgery at Bristol Childrens Hospital and their families.

To apply the income of the said fund to or for any one or more charitable objects for the benefit of members of the Armenian community in any part of the world. The income is therefore paid to the Armenian Hospital which provides exceptional and accessible health care & housing for mainly low income and elderly members of the Armenian community.

The Village Hall is a centre for a variety of activities for all ages: fortnightly coffee mornings, regular social events such as quizzes, talks, bingo, teas, book club and craft club. The hall is the focus for the annual Fete, Harvest Supper, Macmillan Coffee Morning and Christmas events. The hall is used for Parish Council meetings, FGCT meetings, as a polling station and for our MP's surgery.
