Health Charities

We seek to distribute the trust income to promote the study of and research into mental health, nervous and neurological diseases. We aim to provide facilities to assist or support persons disabled through age, sickness, infirmity, accident or disease.

To provide practical help and advice to anyone who is about to have a surgical procedure which will result in an ileostomy or internal pouch. To keep members of the charity and other interested groups aware of topics of interest by means of periodic publications and local meetings.

The trustees hold four regular quarterly meetings each year when the trustees consider applications referred to them from various local sources including local medical practices, the local hospital, Social Services, The Citizen Advice Bureau and other local charitable and voluntary organisations.

Within the Ecclesiastical Parish of Studley cash grants are paid to individuals and organisations to further the education and religious education of young people and for the relief of need generally in times of crisis. In support of their ancillary activities grants are paid to hospitals and homes for the elderly and the disabled. An annual maintenance grant is paid to the Parish Church.

COLLECTS MONIES FOR ACWW; DONATES TO LOCAL CHARITIES SUCH AS MANORLANDS HOSPICE, BRADFORD EAR TRUST & WILSDEN VILLAGE HALL; PROVIDES REFRESHMENTS FOR VILLAGE ACTIVITIES. PROVIDE A FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT FOR MEMBERS TO PURSUE HOBBIES, NEW SKILLS & FRIENDSHIPS.

Provide the local printed newspaper on to memory stick and distribute to the blind and partially sighted people in the Burnley Area of Lancashire

Provision of broadcasting services to patients and staff at Maidstone Hospital

League for the period of 1.1.09 to 31.12.09, funded 48 concerts in the homes, give a Capita Grant of -ú25, so every resident received a Christmas present/party. In addition, in line with the Charity Commissions thought, we had a surplus of -ú3000 which we divided equally between the two trusts to re-fund, resulting in a wide variety of objects purchased for the benefit of the resident.

Main purpose to provide a volunteer "taxi service" to needy people to hospital, surgeries only at present. Office in local church staffed(10-12 am) ,at present only Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, by volunteers who put those in need in touch with drivers. We no longer run an alarm aids scheme.

The Leicestershire Neurological Trust provides funds for individuals within the university hospitals of Leicester to pursue individual educational and research activity in the area of neurological disease. It also funds equipment to enable individuals to pursue these activities.

Llandudno Rotary club is a member of RIBI. Charity income is raised by Club Members activities in LLandudno area by organising collections at Christmas, Llandudno Extravaganza, and members donations. Donations and help given to local charities e.g. hospices, disable school, international charities, and Rotary Foundation

Provision of a Village Hall for local community use including Parish Council meetings, clubs, MP surgery, polling station and events such as Harvest Supper, Bingo Nights, etc.

Social club to meet others affected by stroke. Trips & meals out, guest speakers, cards, dominoes & bingo etc.

To promote and advance the study and general knowledge of medicine and science relating to the progress and development of all branches of medicine and surgery and dentistry.

Support given particularly to educational and healthcare (primarily for the elderly) charities. Educational charities supported include the 21st Century Learning Initiative, two schools and a Cambridge college.Medical charities supported include Research into Ageing (part of Age UK), cancer relief and other medical charities.

Provides a service to blind and partially sighted people by providing audio versions of 7 news publications.

To relieve patients at Derriford Hospital Kidney Unit by providing or assisting in the provision of equipment or facilities occasionally providing educational and training assistance for patients and renal staff.

Fundraising activities to meet demands led charitable projects in Eritrea have been our priority. Currently the two main projects are i) in support of children and schools for the visually and hearing impaired, and ii) in support of education of students through the provision of suitable electronic devices.

Grants are made twice a year to Southolt Church, Village Residents, Local Community Bus, Parish Newsletter(s), East Anglian Air Ambulance, EACH - East Anglian Children's Hospice and others based on need including grants in support of the Village Environment.
