Arts Charities

Arts at the Old Fire Station encourages people from all backgrounds to understand and shape the world in which we live through stories, creativity and the arts, and by connecting with others. We have a gallery, theatre, dance studio and Cafe. We support artists and include people facing disadvantage. We support services to evaluate their work using Story Telling Methodology.

The CTA is a UK-wide charity providing leadership, learning and enterprise support to member organisations in civil society which deliver innovative and flexible transport solutions to achieve social change in their communities. We promote excellence through training, e-based resources, publications, advice, consultancy events and project support on voluntary, community & accessible transport.

The National Opera Studio is engaged by the UK's leading Opera Companies and Arts Council England to provide individually designed, high quality professional training for singers and repetiteurs who have the potential to become the leading artists of their generation.

One Vision , was established in March 2015. One Vision was started by a free speech group of people with disabilities 1998. The original group would meet one day per week to discuss ways in which they could voice their opinions and concerns about the services they would come into contact with on a regular basis. Choosing film as the medium gave everyone the opportunity to learn new skills

Training Centre for adults with learning disabilities; Operating a cafe and gift shop (open to the public); creating bespoke crafts, gifts and home decor. Students also receive training in basic literacy, housekeeping skills (eg cooking, laundry) and go outside the centre to experience public transport, shopping and social activities.

Charitable aims are the advancement of knowledge, education and interest in OR, through its publications, conferences, training, accreditation scheme, awards, regional societies, and special interest groups. Its 'Science of Better' campaign is specifically designed to promote wider knowledge of OR and how it can be used in the public and private sectors alike.

The charity runs a primary school for girls of the orthodox Jewish faith in Edgware. The charity supplements the school curriculum by providing additional activities that will (a) expand the knowledge of the pupils by arranging trips to museums and other educational and recreational venues, and (b) teach new skills, for example after school clubs teaching dance, art and drama.

Seven Stories' mission is to champion children's books as an intergral part of childhood and Britian's heritage and culture, with the aim of: Preserving and celebrating Britain's rich heritage of children's literature from 1930's to the present day. Graeae is a disabled-led theatre company that profiles the skills of disabled actors, writers and directors. The artistic approach creates aesthetically accessible productions that include a disabled and non-disabled audience. The company has built an enviable reputation for producing thrilling and innovative work, particularly built around the creative use of sign language and audio description.

The Charities activities are publication of the monthly magazine, promoting Art History and encouraging education and research.

Theatre/Arts Venue

To provide training and work in horticulture,allied skills, arts and crafts for vulnerable adults including people with a learning disability and/or mental health problem. This by establishing special services at Northdale and ABLE providing work-based and social activities, and work experience in Hambleton & Richmondshire, The aim is to promote continuing education and sheltered/open employment.

The objectives of the RIC is to advance the education of the public through the study and knowledge of literature, natural sciences, archaeology, history, ethnology, geology and the fine and applied arts. The RIC provides access to it's comprehensive collection and holds regular exhibitions. The RIC provides education activities through it's schools and family workshops.

The Institute is the professional body representing acoustics in the United Kingdom, and provides a range of services for members. The Institute's principal objectives are:Education, Conferences and Meetings, Publications.

Providing leadership and strategic thinking, The Theatres Trust advises in planning, regeneration and development, architecture and design, heritage, and theatre. We enable better planning to secure, improve and achieve sustainability for new and existing theatre buildings and protect theatre use. The Theatres Trust also provides financial assistance for theatres through grants.

National Welsh Language Theatre Company, producing and touring plays in the Welsh language
