To raise funds to provide nursing care and equipment for patients nursed under the Peterborough Hospital At Home Scheme

We provide transport to doctor/dentist/medical/hospital for the needy in our community.

Provide facilities for local day centre for the people of Alford and the surrounding district.

To fund raise by means of coffee mornings, quiz evenings, cream teas, mini-markets and an annual Grand Bazaar in order to fund the provision of comforts for patients and to provide finance to purchase equipment not provided by the NHS.

The League supports the Williton NHS hospital by donating equipment and giving grants to improve facilities for the benefit of the hospital's patients. Income consists mainly of donations, legacies, interest from deposits, and fundraising activities.

To promote, carry out or participate in research into pancreatic cancer and associated diseases by way of grant, loans, remuneration etc to hospitals, universities, colleges and similar bodies engaged in research. To provide relief and comfort to pancreatic cancer sufferers.

Support the aims and objectives of Mvumi Hospital. Supports capital projects as well as day-to-day work.

Support for people who face multiple barriers to entering training and employment including: Managing a long term mental health problem; Acquiring mental health problems whilst in work; Having a learning difficulty; Having a physical disability; Are living with poor mental health; Have problems as a result of physical disability; Young people not in employment or education;

Maintain and refurbish Grade II building for use by any organisation or individuals in area. Major users, Guides, Brownies, Ramblers, dance, yoga, exercise groups, Women's Institute, portrait painting, physiotherapy, luncheon and social gatherings; also concerts, drama and private parties. Centre for village Community Events including Well Dressing festival, Open Gardens and Christmas Lights.

Provides a day centre, lunch club, transport to surgery, clinics, day centre, loan of equipment, wheel chairs etc.

Administration of community hall for dance instruction, yoga, fencing, drama instruction, baby and toddler classes, social occasions, space for people with mental health issuesPublication of free community newspaper 6 times a year with local news and views

Almshouses

Provides transport to hospitals, and GP's, visiting, shopping etc. We also offer a coffee morning facility, weekday mornings, where people can gather.

Adult Education and Leisure groups, Keep fit, Zumba, Latin American Line Dance, Welsh Dance, Women's Institute, Gardening Societies, Karate, Brownies, Ballet, Coychurch Youth Club, Children's Parties, Concerts, Charity Events.Surgery for Welsh Assembly MPs and use as a Polling Station.

Upkeep of almshouses at Boroughgate, Appleby in Westmorland, for the benefit of almspeople.

- Elders support work (hot meals, dementia support)- Support work with young people with health/mental health needs- Community culture and heritage- General community support and signposting (benefits, housing, employment, education advocacy)

A social club for the Blind and Partially Sighted in the Rochdale Area.Every tuesday there is a social event, with an Artist/singer- with dancing/sing along, held at the centre, or on approx six occasions a year,a coach trip out, with meal.The Talking Newspaper also use our premises weekly, without charge.

Almshouses for former members of HM's Forces or for those who have undertaken substantial service for the local community within the counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire or Salop.

Church services are on Sundays at 11am (although during the Coronavirus crisis, we are holding services online at 3pm instead). We hold coffee mornings, open days, meditation sessions, and social events to raise awareness of Unitarianism and to raise funds. The church also fundraises through its charity shop on Hall Gate. We support a number of local organisations to help vulnerable communities.

We provide sporting & recreational activities to children & adults including table tennis, martial arts, . room hire for public and private meetings such as the Over 50's Computer Club, Irish Dancing, Over 55 luncheon club, toddles group councillors surgery and residents group. A local history group meet at the Club. A Church Group uses the building on Sunday mornings.

ARCADE provides interactive life-skills based alcohol and drug education projects. Our main target group are 9-13 years of age and their parents. the 3 main aims of our work are :- To build self esteemDevelop decision making skills and Provide age appropriate factual alcohol and drug information.

To foster & encourage the public interest in the patients & the support of the work of the Hospital by means of voluntary service (& to assist in the recruitment of voluntary workers.) To provide funds for the resources of the Hospital service, either by supplementation or by putting such funds at the disposal of the Hospital Committee. To provide a link between the Hospital & the Community.

Fund-raising in order to make grants for additional facilities or services in respect of Holy Cross Hospital, Haslemere.

The charity operates only in the parish of Cheddington. One-third of its income goes to the parish church to be used for maintenance. Grants are made from the remaining income to village organisations, students, volunteer drivers for hospital visits and individuals undergoing particular hardship.
